Why are VITAL Advocates so important?

They play a VITAL role in separating the wood from the trees. Being experts by experience, they are empathetic and understand the impact of how to communicate with others, whilst having the knowledge and ability to support those in need. They will work with people to understand what they want to achieve.

This runs through the veins of our organisation

This runs through the veins of our organisation from our Director and amongst all the VITAL persons (VPs) that make up this incredible service. Being independent, we are not emotionally invested in the services, so can ensure you are at the centre of what we do.

Sharon’s own mental health journey began early as a result of childhood abuse. Through the years she recognised that being part of a group, supported by others who have the similar experiences & developed the ethos that is so dominant within the charity she runs today.
